Return To ShopProfessor (Dr.) Asha Sharma is contributing to the Department of Botany, at Maharshi Dayanand University Rohtak Haryana India. She did her PhD in 2000 from Maharshi Dayanand University Rohtak Haryana, India. She has approximately 50 research/review papers, 20 book chapters, 04 books, guided 5 PhDs, and more than 30 PG students in her credit. She is basically a plant physiologist working on different types of biotic and abiotic stress on current and upcoming crops and cereal varieties, currently, she is specially focused on silicon-based plant stress physiology and its implications. She is more than 20 years of experience teaching and research continuously involved in publishing good research in reputed National/International journals. Besides these, she has attended and successfully organized many National and International Conferences/ Seminars/Workshops. Already completed three research projects funded by UGC-Delhi, RK Fund Haryana, and other funding agencies. She has done remarkable work on arsenic effects including in the Punjab area on the National level. She is a life member of various scientific bodied like AMI (Association of Microbiology of India) Society for Science of Climate Change and Sustainable Environment (SSCE) etc.
